Cooperations with Federations
Vietentours organizes trips and events around the mega sport events. Thus, it stood to reason to get involved as promoter and sponsor of the national teams. Resulting in numerous co-operations with the big and important German federations. In the meantime, sponsor and fan trips have become a true figurehead for Vietentours – and the federations.
The sponsor and fan trips with Vietentours go far beyond the mere hotel and ticket arrangement. The visit of a sport event will always be enhanced by a first-class sightseeing and cultural programme. The guests are accommodated in 3- up to 5-star hotels and get to know interesting countries and cities. The federation ensures that the athletes, coaches or officials will be available exclusively common parties and round tables. Insider information which is unparalleled, encounters which cannot be booked anywhere else. These meetings render these tours their unique character and guarantee a much more intensive experience than only going to the stadium.
The German Track-and-Field Federation is considered the precursor in terms of fan trips. Already in 2000, the co-operation between Vietentours and the DLV Federation had been sealed. Together we developed the idea of “DLV Fan Trips”. Thousands of guests have visited sports’ supreme discipline since the World Champions 1997 in Athens with us. The World Cup 2009 in our home country will now be the highlight in the 10th year of our cooperation.
Along the role model of the DLV cooperation we could gain thereafter the German Basketball Federation (since 2001), the German Canoeing Federation (2002), the German Volley- and Beach Volleyball Federation (2002), the German Swimming Association (2003), the German Handball Federation (2004), the German Equestrian Federation (2005) as well as the German Olympic Committee of Equestrianism (2005), the German Wrestling Federation (2006), the Federation of Modern Pentathlon (2007), the Toyota Handball Bundesliga (2007) as well as the second-largest German federation in terms of members: the German Gymnastics Federation (2007) with its disciplines of rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and gymnastics.
Furthermore, we are cooperating with the Youth Sports Federation of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Olympic Training Centres of the Rhineland and Hesse as well as the national team in table tennis in Düsseldorf since many years. Even the German Sport Federation (DSB) had been an official travel partner of Vietentours before their amalgamation with the National Olympic Committee (NOC) into the German Olympic Sport Federation (DOSB).
